Accounts Assistant – Brighton

About the role

This permanent Accounts Assistant position in Brighton supports the finance team by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments and reconciliations. You will work closely with clients, insurers and internal stakeholders to keep financial records up to date.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process client and insurer payments accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile client and insurer accounts to keep records current.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
• Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support month‑end and year‑end financial processes.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial documentation.
• Collaborate with the wider accounting and finance team to meet deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles.
• Experience with reconciliations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Proficiency in relevant accounting software and tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good problem‑solving and analytical skills.
