Accounts Assistant – Client Accounts (Hybrid)

About the role

We are looking for an organised and detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to support our property solutions division. The role involves managing service charge accounting, preparing year‑end statements and liaising with property managers and auditors.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately account for service charges and issue service charge accounts within six months of year‑end.
• Prepare and reconcile property management system data, including year‑end adjustments and reserve fund transfers.
• Assist with Section 20b notice preparation and ensure timely approval.
• Update daily control sheets and maintain accurate financial records.
• Respond to queries from property managers, accountants and clients within three working days.
• Liaise with external auditors to obtain approval of year‑end service charge and company accounts.
• Provide ad‑hoc accounting and administrative support as required.

Required profile

• GCSE (A‑C) in Maths and English or equivalent.
• Strong organisational and numerical abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritising workload under pressure.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑focused approach.
