Accounts Assistant – Finance Role

About the role

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Lymm. The role involves managing invoicing cycles, bank reconciliations and supporting month‑end processes. You will work closely with a small finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage monthly and quarterly invoicing cycles, preparing and processing bulk customer invoices.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Reconcile company credit card transactions and employee expense claims.
• Prepare sales commission schedules and maintain supporting records.
• Assist with stock reporting and stock reconciliations.
• Support credit control activities as required.
• Assist with month‑end processes, including accruals, pre‑payments and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Collaborate within a small finance team, providing support across the wider finance function.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant or similar role.
• Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting month‑end processes.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, flexible and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Required skills

• Good working knowledge of Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting systems.
