Accounts Assistant – Finance Support Role

Key responsibilities

• Manage purchase ledger duties and process payments
• Handle VAT compliance and staff expenses
• Support the billing team with day‑to‑day finance operations
• Complete bank reconciliations for the main account
• Run weekly staff expense processes
• Resolve finance queries and support credit‑card reconciliations
• Assist with multi‑currency transactions
• Cover payroll tasks during absence or leave

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accounts assistant, purchase ledger or finance support role
• Confidence with purchase ledger, VAT returns and reconciliations
• Ability to handle high‑volume credit‑card reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills (pivots, tables, V‑lookups)
• Proactive, resilient attitude with willingness to take ownership
