About the role
This full‑time permanent position is ideal for an ambitious Accounts Assistant who wants to develop technical expertise within a supportive, growing accountancy firm. You will work on a diverse client portfolio and gain exposure to a range of accounting tasks.
Key responsibilities
- Manage bookkeeping for clients across various industries.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.
- Assist in the production of year‑end accounts.
- Support the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
- Build strong client relationships, respond to queries and gather information.
- Collaborate with colleagues to manage workflow and support the wider team.
Required profile
- Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
- Experience with bookkeeping, VAT and accounts preparation.
- Proactive, dependable and eager to learn.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage own workload.
- Looking for a stable, long‑term opportunity to grow.
