Accounts Assistant – Full‑Time, £28‑32k, Andover

About the role

We are seeking an organised and detail‑oriented Accounts Assistant to join a friendly, growing business in Andover. Reporting into the finance team, you will help ensure the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the accounts function while developing your accounting career in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the purchase ledger and perform supplier reconciliations.
• Process invoices, payments and receipts accurately.
• Carry out credit control activities and monitor aged debt.
• Assist with bank reconciliations and provide VAT support.
• Handle expense claims and company credit‑card transactions.
• Resolve supplier and customer account queries.
• Maintain accurate financial records and provide general finance administration.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Credit Control role.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive attitude with a willingness to support the wider team.
