Accounts Assistant – Hybrid Role

About the role

We are recruiting for a well‑established and growing business seeking an all‑round Accounts Assistant to join their friendly finance team. Key responsibilities

• Raise and issue customer invoices, allocate receipts, reconcile customer accounts and chase outstanding payments.
• Process supplier invoices accurately, reconcile supplier statements, prepare payment runs and handle supplier queries.
• Perform daily bank postings, reconcile bank statements, monitor cash receipts and payments and assist with cash‑flow reporting.
• Support month‑end processes, post journals, reconcile balance‑sheet accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
• Provide ad‑hoc reporting and administrative support to the Finance Manager.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant role.
• Strong knowledge of sales and purchase ledger processes.
• Good understanding of reconciliations and general bookkeeping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• AAT qualification or studying towards AAT is advantageous.
