Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are partnering with a growing business in East Leeds to strengthen its finance team. As an Accounts Assistant you will work across transactional finance, reporting and process‑improvement projects, gaining exposure to a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process large volumes of purchase invoices, ensuring accurate coding to cost centres and accounts.
• Raise and issue sales invoices and credit notes, handling customer billing queries.
• Manage cash postings, card payments, customer refunds and supplier payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Support month‑end activities, including reconciliations and audit requests.
• Produce and update KPI reports, finance dashboards and management information.
• Assist with finance projects, data‑cleansing exercises and process improvements.
• Act as a point of contact for internal and external finance queries.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Accounts Assistant role.
• Ability to work accurately in a high‑volume, deadline‑driven environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high‑quality work.
