Accounts Assistant

About the role

Join one of the UK's fastest‑growing businesses as an Accounts Assistant. You will work closely with an experienced Financial Controller and a supportive finance team, gaining broad exposure to finance operations within a purpose‑led culture.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of account reconciliations and support the production of monthly accounts to trial balance.
• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely, accurate payments.
• Support day‑to‑day finance operations as the business expands.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the organisation to resolve finance queries.
• Assist with the implementation of new finance processes linked to growth and regulatory requirements.
• Help with insurer statement reconciliations and payment processes when required.

Required profile

• At least two years' experience in a finance or accounts role.
• Part‑qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified through relevant experience.
• Experience completing account reconciliations and producing accounts to trial balance.
• Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Effective communication skills and ability to liaise across teams.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills, including formulas and pivot tables.
