Accounts Assistant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Accounts Assistant to join our client’s finance team in Cheshire. The role offers a varied mix of sales ledger, purchase ledger and wider finance support duties, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day financial operations.

Key responsibilities

• Raise and issue customer invoices, allocate receipts, reconcile accounts and chase outstanding payments.
• Process supplier invoices, match, batch and code them, run payment batches and reconcile supplier statements.
• Assist with month‑end procedures, maintain accurate records in the ERP system and support reporting and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Purchase Ledger or Sales Ledger role.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication and organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using ERP/finance systems.
