Accounts Assistant – Management Accounts Team

About the role

Join a dynamic management accounts team based in Cheltenham, supporting a portfolio of international clients. You will work closely with senior colleagues to deliver a range of finance functions and ensure high‑quality service across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll, accounts payable and employee expense reimbursements.
• Post invoices and expense claims into accounting systems and raise payments from client bank accounts.
• Set up bookkeeping in Xero and configure beneficiaries on banking platforms.
• Assist with the preparation of dual‑currency management accounts and VAT/indirect tax support.
• Handle compliance queries related to statutory accounts and year‑end reporting.
• Participate in client calls, document actions and follow up with UK and overseas offices.
• Respond to client queries, escalating issues when necessary, and manage ad‑hoc administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Desire to pursue an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or AAT).
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to meet multiple deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail‑oriented approach.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Experience with accounting software such as Xero and NetSuite.
