Accounts Assistant with AAT Study Support

About the role

This entry‑level Accounts Assistant position offers the chance to work alongside a newly appointed Financial Controller who is modernising the finance function. You will gain hands‑on experience in transactional accounting while receiving support to study for the AAT qualification.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day purchase invoices, sales invoices and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with month‑end closing activities.
• Prepare basic management accounts reports under the guidance of the Financial Controller.
• Support the AAT study programme by organising study time and resources.
• Identify and suggest improvements to existing finance processes.

Required profile

• Approximately 12 months of experience in an accounting or finance role.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn and ambition to develop a finance career.
• Good numerical ability and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of transactional accounting principles.
