Accounts Assistant with AAT Study Support – Manchester

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Manchester city centre. The position offers a competitive salary of £30,000‑£32,000 per year and includes dedicated support for AAT study, providing a clear pathway towards management accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Process day‑to‑day transactions and maintain accurate ledger entries.
• Assist with month‑end closing activities and preparation of management accounts.
• Support the Financial Controller in reporting and analysis tasks.
• Prepare basic financial reports and reconcile accounts as required.
• Collaborate with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate financial information.

Required profile

• 12‑18 months of transactional accounting experience.
• Motivation to develop month‑end and management accounting skills.
• Currently studying for, or willing to undertake, an AAT qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a desire to grow within a supportive environment.
