Accounts & Audit Senior – Chartered Accountant Firm

About the role

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable, forward‑thinking chartered accountancy practice in Maidstone. The role offers a balanced mix of audit and accounts work, allowing you to manage your own portfolio while supporting senior managers on larger engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead audits from planning through to completion.
• Prepare statutory accounts for a diverse client base, including owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and larger corporates.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff members.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP (FRS 102) and relevant regulations.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification.
• Strong experience in a mixed audit and accounts role within an accounting practice.
• Proactive approach with solid technical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing abilities.
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines.
