Accounts & Audit Senior

About the role

Clark Wood is recruiting for a leading chartered accountancy firm in Stafford. The Audit & Accounts Senior will work on a diverse client portfolio, leading audit engagements from planning through to completion and preparing year‑end accounts and corporation tax returns.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and execute audit plans, addressing audit objectives and risks.
• Lead audit assignments for group structures and large stand‑alone companies.
• Oversee fieldwork, ensure completion of audit procedures and review of work.
• Supervise and develop junior staff members.
• Prepare and review year‑end accounts for limited companies.
• Prepare corporation tax returns.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualified, or in the final stages of qualification.
• Proven experience leading audit assignments in a UK accountancy practice.
• Client‑facing attitude with strong communication skills.
