Accounts Manager – Client Portfolio Lead

About the role

Join an award‑winning accountancy practice as an Accounts Manager, acting as the primary point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients. You will ensure timely, accurate delivery of accounts, tax returns and advisory services while building strong, supportive relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio across multiple sectors.
• Serve as the main contact for client queries, providing clear guidance.
• Review accounts, VAT returns, management reports and tax computations.
• Coordinate team workflow to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Identify and propose value‑adding advisory opportunities.
• Coach and support junior team members.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and internal policies.

Required profile

• Experience working in an accountancy practice.
• ACA/ACCA qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong communication and relationship‑building abilities.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Genuine interest in helping clients understand their finances.
