Accounts Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Manager to join a small, fast‑growing independent accountancy practice in Bromley. The role offers autonomy, a varied client portfolio and genuine ownership of accounts, VAT, CIS, payroll and tax work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering hands‑on support for accounts, VAT, CIS and payroll.
• Prepare and review year‑end statutory accounts, management accounts and tax returns.
• Oversee workflow, monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and increase efficiency.
• Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or AAT qualified with solid experience in a small UK accountancy practice or outsourced environment.
• Proven experience in management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT, CIS and payroll.
• Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
• Proactive, client‑focused and commercially aware.
• Confidence to work independently and manage multiple client relationships.

What we offer

• Salary between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum.
