Accounts & Outsourcing Manager

About the role

We are seeking an Accounts & Outsourcing Manager to join a leading accountancy practice in Somerset. The role offers a hybrid working model, flexible hours and a clear progression path towards a Director position.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of diverse clients, delivering year‑end financial statements and monthly/quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare and review management reporting packs, providing insightful commentary, budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure all reporting and payment deadlines are met, including VAT returns and monthly journal entries.
• Identify and implement improvements to existing systems and processes.
• Train and supervise junior staff, reviewing their work for accuracy.
• Develop strong client relationships through visits and review meetings.

Required profile

• ACCA or ACA qualified with solid accountancy practice experience.
• Strong financial and management reporting background.
• Excellent working knowledge of FRS102 reporting standards.
• Good communication skills.
