Accounts Payable Associate

About the role

This brand‑new, dedicated Accounts Payable position is the first of its kind within Hometree Group. You will own the purchase ledger across multiple entities, working with Xero and QuickBooks Online and leveraging automation tools such as Dext, ApprovalMax and Spendesk.

Key responsibilities

• Process around 1,000 supplier invoices each month, coding and posting them via Dext and routing approvals through ApprovalMax.
• Run several weekly and month‑end payment runs, ensuring timely and accurate supplier payments.
• Reconcile supplier statements, maintain clean master data, and monitor the aged creditors ledger.
• Support subcontractor (CIS) payments and assist with monthly CIS returns under supervision.
• Act as the first point of contact for supplier and internal queries, support month‑end close, and aid internal/external audits.
• Identify manual tasks and improve AP processes using automation and AI tools.

Required profile

• Previous experience in accounts payable or purchase ledger work.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational ability across multiple entities.
• Comfortable with Google Workspace and quick to learn new systems.
• Clear communication skills and trustworthy handling of confidential financial information.
• Career‑driven mindset with an interest in professional qualifications.

What we offer

• Salary £28,000–£30,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
• Funded study support for AAT, with a pathway towards CIMA or ACCA.
