Accounts Payable Manager – Central London

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Accounts Payable Manager to join our growing finance team in Central London. You will lead the AP function, clear a backlog of supplier reconciliations and ensure efficient, accurate processing of invoices and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Accounts Payable function and oversee day‑to‑day operations.
• Review, investigate and clear a backlog of supplier reconciliations.
• Resolve aged items, supplier queries and account discrepancies.
• Process supplier invoices and payments accurately and on time.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and act as a point of contact for escalated issues.
• Implement process improvements and strengthen financial controls.
• Support month‑end close activities, including AP reconciliations and reporting.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to improve workflow efficiency.
• Assist with audit requests and ensure compliance with company policies.

Required profile

• Proven experience in an Accounts Payable Supervisor or Manager role.
• Strong reconciliation skills with experience managing complex supplier accounts.
• Demonstrated ability to clear AP backlogs and resolve historical issues.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and work independently.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills.
