Accounts Payable Team Leader

About the role
We are partnering with a large, successful group that needs an Accounts Payable Team Leader for its Darlington‑based finance department. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the day‑to‑day operation of the AP function.
Key responsibilities
- Process accounts payable transactions accurately and on time.
- Monitor and manage AP systems to ensure efficiency.
- Provide support and guidance to the AP team.
- Liaise with the Financial Controller on higher‑level issues.
- Act as the primary contact for suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding AP matters.
- Maintain oversight of the AP function and resolve issues as they arise.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in an AP lead or supervisory role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Required skills
- Proven experience with Sage 200 or similar finance systems.
