Accounts Receivable Assistant

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Assistant will support the finance team by managing client accounts, ensuring invoices are accurate and payments are processed efficiently. This permanent position is based in the Barbican area of London and offers the chance to develop your finance skills in a dynamic business services environment.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and issue accurate client invoices in a timely manner.
• Monitor and manage accounts receivable to ensure prompt payments.
• Reconcile customer payments with outstanding invoices.
• Respond to client queries regarding billing and payment issues.
• Maintain up‑to‑date and accurate financial records.
• Assist with month‑end reporting and account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to improve processes.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial tasks.
• Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
• Proactive approach to identifying and solving issues.

Required skills

• Knowledge of accounting software and financial systems.
