Accounts Receivable Manager

About the role

CMC Consulting Limited is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to take full ownership of the AR function. You will lead the redesign of billing and collections, embed AI‑driven automation, and work closely with senior stakeholders to improve cash flow and accuracy.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end AR process, from invoice generation to cash application.
• Restructure and align Collections and Billing into a single high‑performing function.
• Identify and implement AI and automation tools to reduce manual work and boost billing accuracy.
• Partner with Sales and internal teams to maximise automated billing and minimise disputes.
• Lead collections strategy to reduce DSO, oversee high‑risk accounts and manage escalations.
• Design a structured dispute management process with clear ownership and root‑cause tracking.
• Manage quarterly and year‑end bad‑debt write‑offs and provisions, securing approvals from department heads.
• Provide line management for a team of five, including coaching, performance management and objective setting.
• Support the Group Financial Controller with cash‑flow and customer‑receipts forecasting.
• Administer the credit control system and related documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing an AR function in a complex, multinational environment.
• Strong track record of process improvement, especially deploying AI/automation solutions.
• Confident people leader with experience developing teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Comfortable operating at senior level and driving cross‑functional change.
