About the role

This position offers a solid springboard for accountants looking to progress their career within a respected practice. You will join a growing team in Bideford, delivering a range of accounting and tax services to diverse clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accounts and financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Carry out associated tax computations and lodge returns.
• Resolve client queries and provide advisory support.
• Produce VAT returns, manage bookkeeping and perform management accounting tasks.
• Liaise with clients, internal staff and HMRC.

Required profile

• Experience working in an accountancy practice environment.
• Undertaken or completed professional accounting studies.
• Strong understanding of technical accounting standards.
• Familiarity with a variety of online accounting packages.
