Accounts Semi Senior

About the role

The Accounts Semi‑Senior role is based in Preston and offers a broad, hands‑on position within a supportive team. You’ll work closely with senior colleagues to deliver a high standard of client service, preparing accounts and supporting VAT, bookkeeping, management accounts and audit work.

Key responsibilities

• Work closely with senior team members to deliver excellent client service
• Prepare year‑end accounts for a range of clients
• Prepare and complete quarterly VAT returns, including MTD processes
• Assist on audit assignments and support the wider audit process
• Provide bookkeeping support and assist with management accounts where needed

Required profile

• At least 3 years’ UK general practice experience
• AAT qualified or in the later stages or qualified by experience
• Qualified by experience (QBE)
• Genuine interest in accounting and developing in practice
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Good teamworking skills, motivation and strong organisation
• Committed work ethic and willingness to handle a broad workload
