Accounts Semi Senior

About the role

Clark Wood is partnering with an established independent chartered accountancy firm in Cross Hills, Keighley. They are seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to join a busy general practice team, delivering a range of accounting, tax and payroll services to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare draft accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist senior staff with client portfolios and tax computations.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks and produce periodic VAT returns.
• Process payroll for selected clients.
• Liaise with clients to resolve queries and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Grounding in general practice accounting work.
• AAT qualified or part‑qualified, or studying ACCA/ACA.
• Practical experience in a practice environment.

Required skills

• AAT qualification (or part‑qualified).
• ACCA or ACA study progress.
• Bookkeeping.
• VAT return preparation.
• Payroll processing.
• Tax computation preparation.
