Accounts Semi‑Senior – Chartered Accountancy

About the role

TPF Recruitment is supporting an independent chartered accountancy firm in Eastleigh. The firm seeks a semi‑senior accountant to join a friendly, growing team, develop technical expertise and gain broader client exposure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist in the preparation of corporation tax and self‑assessment tax returns.
• Produce management accounts for a diverse client base.
• Support bookkeeping activities and VAT return preparation.
• Liaise directly with clients to answer queries and build strong relationships.
• Collaborate with senior team members on varied client portfolios.
• Develop technical knowledge and take on additional responsibilities as experience grows.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
• Studying or planning to study AAT, ACA or ACCA (study support provided).
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, positive approach.
• Good organisational abilities and capacity to manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• AAT qualification or study.
• ACA qualification or study.
• ACCA qualification or study.
• Bookkeeping.
• VAT return preparation.
