Accounts Semi‑Senior (or Senior) – Chartered Accountancy Practice

About the role

Our client, a long‑standing chartered accountancy practice in Reading, is looking for an Accounts Semi‑Senior (or Senior) to join the Accounts Preparation team. Reporting to a Partner, you will work on year‑end financial statements and corporation tax returns for a diverse portfolio of clients across the Thames Valley and London.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships across various industries.
• Compile corporation tax computations and submit returns.
• Communicate with clients, partners and colleagues to progress assignments and resolve queries.
• Support senior managers and partners on ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in an accountancy practice.
• Studying towards or holding AAT, ACA or ACCA qualifications.
• Experience assisting or preparing year‑end financial statements and some exposure to corporation tax returns.
