Accounts Senior – Accounting Practice

About the role

We are seeking experienced Accounts Seniors to join a forward‑thinking accountancy practice in Glasgow. You will work with a diverse client base, delivering high‑quality accounting services and supporting senior team members across a varied portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and related compliance work.
• Complete VAT returns, bookkeeping assignments and management accounts.
• Support the delivery of accurate and timely financial information to clients.
• Prepare and submit statutory accounts and tax‑related documents.
• Review client records, identify missing information and raise queries.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and provide updates.
• Collaborate with Managers and Assistant Managers to ensure efficient completion of assignments.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and compliance.
• Contribute to team development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified, part‑qualified or qualified by experience.
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing accounts for a portfolio of clients.
• Good understanding of bookkeeping, VAT and general accounting processes.
• Confident managing deadlines and prioritising multiple assignments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build professional client relationships.
• Proactive, organised and problem‑solving attitude.
• Team player willing to support colleagues and contribute to a positive environment.
