About the role
This permanent position is based in Bridgwater and offers a supportive, open‑minded environment where you can develop your accounting career. You will work within a growing practice, handling a variety of financial tasks while mentoring junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare statutory accounts for a portfolio of clients.
- Manage tax compliance, planning and VAT returns.
- Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping and reconcile accounts.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
Required profile
- Proven experience in an accountancy practice environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an existing team.
- Strong client‑facing skills and relationship building.
- ACA, ACCA or AAT qualifications are advantageous but not essential.
