Accounts Senior

About the role

We are recruiting for an Accounts Senior to join a growing chartered accountancy firm in London. You will work closely with a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, high‑growth companies and established SMEs, moving beyond routine compliance to become a trusted adviser throughout the financial year.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for a variety of business entities.
• Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports as required.
• Complete corporation tax returns and assist with other business tax matters.
• Discuss financial performance and address technical queries directly with clients.
• Review bookkeeping records and identify areas needing attention.
• Support advisory projects, including business planning and financial forecasting.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to trainees and junior team members.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication.

Required profile

• Experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
• Ability to manage your own workload independently.
• ACA or ACCA qualified (or nearing qualification).
• Enjoy working with a varied client base and delivering high‑quality service.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based accounting systems and modern practice software (training can be provided).
