Accounts Senior

About the role

Pro‑Finance is seeking an Accounts Senior to join its growing practice in Manchester. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing statutory accounts and tax returns while developing your technical expertise and supporting junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for a range of clients.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and directors' personal tax returns.
• Meet with clients to discuss financial information, accounts and business matters.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide constructive feedback.
• Ensure all accounts and tax returns are accurate and submitted within statutory deadlines.
• Mentor trainees and junior staff, supporting their professional development.
• Manage client workflows to deliver assignments on time and within budget.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional services where appropriate.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA finalist or fully qualified accountant.
• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing statutory accounts and tax returns.
• Knowledge of FRS 102, FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105.
• Experience preparing consolidated accounts.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Ability to manage own workload independently.
