Accounts Senior

About the role

Our client, a well‑established accountancy practice in Herne Bay, is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join a friendly and supportive team. The role offers flexibility with full‑time or part‑time options and a varied portfolio of owner‑managed businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Manage your own client portfolio and act as the main point of contact.
• Support junior team members where appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist managers and partners with ad‑hoc assignments and advisory work.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• AAT, ACA or ACCA qualification, or equivalent experience.
• Strong accounts preparation skills.
• Good knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
• Proactive and organised approach to work.
