About the role

Join one of the South‑West's leading accountancy practices and work with a diverse client base, experienced colleagues and a business committed to long‑term career development. This permanent, full‑time position is based in Bristol and offers the chance to develop professionally while handling a varied portfolio of accounts and tax work.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare personal and corporate tax returns.
• Complete VAT returns and bookkeeping assignments as required.
• Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as the primary contact for accounting and taxation matters.
• Build long‑term client relationships and provide practical advice and support.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Collaborate with managers and partners to ensure accurate, timely delivery of assignments.

Required profile

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice, confident in accounts preparation and taxation work.
• ACA or ACCA qualifications advantageous; part‑qualified or qualified‑by‑experience candidates are also welcome.
• Excellent communication, strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload while delivering high‑quality client service.
