Accounts Senior

About the role

A well‑established and highly respected independent accountancy practice based in Merseyside is looking to appoint an Accounts Senior to join its growing team. The firm has built an excellent reputation across the North West for delivering a personalised service to a diverse portfolio of owner‑managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts for a wide range of limited companies.
• Produce management accounts and financial reports.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Assist with corporation tax computations.
• Liaise directly with clients and provide day‑to‑day business advice.
• Support junior team members and review their work where appropriate.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Be AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience.
• Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
• Possess strong accounts preparation skills.
• Be confident managing client relationships.
• Have excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to your work.
