Accounts Senior – Tonbridge

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Senior to join our growing practice in Tonbridge. You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare statutory accounts and tax returns, and support junior team members while developing your own leadership skills.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Compile corporation tax returns and assist with tax computations.
• Prepare self‑assessment tax returns for individuals.
• Review bookkeeping and VAT work produced by junior staff.
• Produce management accounts where required.
• Liaise directly with clients to provide advice, resolve queries and support use of accounting software.
• Mentor and develop junior members of the accounts team.
• Identify process improvements and ensure compliance deadlines are met.

Required profile

• Previous experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong experience preparing year‑end accounts and tax returns.
• AAT qualified, or ACA/ACCA part‑qualified/qualified by experience.
• Excellent client communication and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• High attention to detail and a proactive, professional attitude.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Experience using cloud‑based accounting platforms.
