Accounts Senior – Whitehaven, Cumbria

About the role

Clark Wood are recruiting on behalf of a leading national chartered accountant firm for an Accounts Senior based in Whitehaven. You will act as an adviser to a diverse portfolio of businesses, delivering a varied general practice service.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory and management accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Calculate and file corporation tax computations and returns.
• Provide client management and advice on corporation tax and VAT matters.
• Supervise and support the development of junior team members.
• Liaise with clients across a range of business sectors.

Required profile

• ACCA or ACA qualified, or at the final stages of qualification.
• Experience working in a varied general practice accounting role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant accounting standards.
• Strong experience using accounting software.
