Accounts & Tax Assistant Manager

About the role

This position is with a medium‑size accountancy firm in central London that serves high‑profile clients in film, TV, sport, creative, media and entertainment. You will split your time equally between statutory accounts and tax assignments, working with both personal and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow your own portfolio of clients, ensuring high‑quality service.
• Prepare complex FRS 102 and FRS 105 statutory accounts from start to finish.
• Draft corporation tax returns, personal tax returns and review VAT returns.
• Oversee bookkeeping assignments and ensure accuracy.
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide constructive feedback.
• Train and support junior team members and assist with ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Fully ACA or ACCA qualified with 1–2 years post‑qualification experience.
• Currently working as an Accounts & Tax Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a reputable firm.
• Proven experience preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax, personal tax, VAT returns and bookkeeping.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience with cloud‑based accounting software.
• Motivation to progress quickly in a medium‑size firm and interest in film, TV, media and entertainment clients.
