Accounts & Tax Manager

About the role

TPF Recruitment is seeking an Accounts & Tax Manager for a well‑established chartered accountancy practice in Sevenoaks. The firm enjoys a strong reputation across Kent and nationally, serving OMBs, SMEs and large corporates. This is a pivotal time for the practice, offering the successful candidate the chance to shape their career within a growing organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied client portfolio and report directly to the Partners.
• Oversee workflows to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery of high‑quality work.
• Mentor junior staff and provide constructive support.
• Review and prepare accounts for partnerships, sole traders and limited companies.
• Prepare tax returns, bookkeeping and VAT work.
• Conduct analytic reviews and present clear actions for clients.
• Provide excellent client service by answering queries and supporting the management team.
• Contribute to firm growth through client retention and new business development.

Required profile

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Proven experience delivering accountancy and tax services to sole traders, partnerships and limited companies within an accountancy practice.
