Accounts & Tax Manager – Partner Designate

About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a general‑practice Accounts & Tax Manager to join a highly reputable chartered‑accountants firm in Sevenoaks. The role sits between Manager and Director level and forms part of a clear succession plan toward partnership. You will manage your own client portfolio, lead a small team and work closely with the Partners, delivering accounts and tax services to owner‑managed businesses with turnovers up to £100m.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Oversee preparation and review of company accounts, financial statements, corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Build strong relationships across all teams and with clients, ensuring trusted partnerships.
• Deliver work on time and to a high standard, supporting smooth business operations.
• Assist partners with business development, marketing and, where of interest, audit work.

Required profile

• ACA or ACCA qualification (or equivalent experience).
• 5–10+ years’ experience in an accountancy practice.
• Proven experience preparing accounts and tax returns.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks, Xero or Sage is advantageous.
