Acoustic Consultant – Environmental Noise & Vibration

About the role

Join a specialist consultancy delivering technically challenging acoustic projects across commercial, public and industrial sectors. You will work directly with the Managing Director, receiving one‑to‑one mentoring while carrying out environmental noise and vibration assessments throughout the UK and occasional sites in Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct environmental noise and vibration assessments and produce technical reports.
• Perform site surveys, liaise with clients, planning consultants and senior leadership.
• Travel to project sites across the UK and occasional European locations.
• Support the delivery of specialist consultancy services and contribute to business growth.

Required profile

• Background as an Acoustic Consultant or in Environmental Acoustics.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
• Reliable commute to Colchester.
• IEMA membership or relevant certification is desirable.
• Strong report‑writing ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CadnaA modelling software.
• Knowledge of IEMA standards and guidelines.
• Experience in environmental noise and vibration assessment.
• Technical report writing and client liaison.
