Activities Assistant – Care Home

About the role
As an Activities Assistant in a Barchester care home you will create and deliver a varied programme of fun and engaging activities. Your aim is to motivate residents, support their independence and help them stay connected with family, friends and the local community.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and run a diverse range of activities, outings and social events for residents.
- Encourage participation and tailor activities to individual interests and abilities.
- Support residents to live as independently as possible.
- Promote interaction with families, volunteers and community groups.
- Maintain records of activity attendance and feedback.
Required profile
- No specific experience required – any background is welcome.
- Enthusiastic, empathetic and genuinely interested in supporting residents.
- Creative, fun‑focused and able to motivate others.
