Activities Coordinator

About the role

The Activities Coordinator will enrich daily life for residents at Gowrie House Care Home by delivering engaging, person‑centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one‑to‑one activities tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs.
• Adapt activities to support residents living with dementia and ensure inclusive participation.
• Maintain accurate records of activity sessions, attendance and outcomes.
• Collaborate with care staff to integrate activities into the overall care plan.
• Monitor safety, equipment and environment during all activities.
• Evaluate and adjust the programme based on resident feedback and observed benefits.

Required profile

• Creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or transferable experience from hospitality, events, childcare or community work is desirable but not essential.

What we offer

• £13.08 per hour, contracted to 24 hours per week.
• Paid PVG, pension scheme and uniform provided.
