Activity Coordinator – Healthcare Support

About the role

Join Cygnet Hospital Bury Forestwood as an Activity Coordinator and help young people in a CAMHS Tier 4 PICU, General Acute and Low Secure setting engage in therapeutic activities. Working 37.5 hours per week across day and evening shifts, you will support patients’ recovery and social inclusion.

Key responsibilities

• Encourage patients to participate in a variety of activities and maintain existing hobbies.
• Assist the Occupational Therapist in planning and delivering therapy programmes.
• Source and prepare necessary materials for activity sessions.
• Generate ideas and facilitate safe events and activities for patients.

Required profile

• Passion for working in healthcare, especially with learning disabilities.
• Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy principles.
• Creative mindset and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
• Awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable).
