Actuarial Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an ambitious Actuarial Analyst to join a fast‑growing pensions consulting team in Glasgow. The role provides exposure to a broad portfolio of actuarial, investment and pension scheme advisory work, supporting trustees, sponsoring employers and not‑for‑profit clients.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality actuarial services across a range of pension scheme clients.
• Prepare actuarial calculations, member benefit projections and actuarial models.
• Assess the impact of demographic trends, legislative changes and market developments on schemes.
• Draft reports, presentations and technical client communications.
• Participate in client meetings and build strong stakeholder relationships.
• Utilise innovative actuarial technology and analytical tools to evaluate risks and design tailored solutions.
• Support process‑improvement projects and service‑innovation initiatives.

Required profile

• Honours degree (2:1 or above) in a science‑based subject.
• A‑Level Mathematics or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and manage tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
