Actuarial Pensions Consultant – London

About the role

You will join WTW as a Pension Actuarial Consultant, supporting UK Defined Benefit pension schemes for a diverse client base. The role involves both trustee and corporate assignments, delivering valuations, accounting advice and innovative project work.

Key responsibilities

• Perform regular pension valuations, accounting calculations and PPF levy assessments.
• Provide individual calculations, factor reviews and liability modelling.
• Contribute to integrated risk management, GMP equalisation and plan design strategies.
• Support asset‑and‑liability modelling, journey planning and merger‑acquisition projects.
• Mentor junior colleagues and lead project delivery with strong delegation.

Required profile

• Experience in UK Defined Benefit pension actuarial work.
• IFoA qualification – newly qualified or qualified actuary.
• Client‑service orientation with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proven ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
• High sense of accountability and project ownership.
