ADHD Specialist Classroom Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated ADHD Specialist Classroom Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Redbridge. This full‑time, fixed‑term position runs from September 2026 to July 2027 and focuses on supporting energetic learners with attention and self‑regulation needs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to pupils throughout the school day.
• Implement strategies that enhance concentration, confidence and positive behaviour.
• Maintain clear routines and a calm, purposeful classroom atmosphere.
• Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to meet individual pupil needs.
• Celebrate progress and encourage children to reach their full potential.

Required profile

• Previous experience supporting children with ADHD, autism or SEMH needs.
• Strong understanding of how ADHD impacts learning and behaviour.
• Confidence in managing challenging or highly active behaviour.
• Patience, resilience and excellent communication skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and child success.
