Administration Assistant – Continence (12‑month fixed‑term)

About the role

This 12‑month fixed‑term position supports the SPHERE Bladder & Bowel Service at Castlemilk Health Centre. You will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial assistance, ensuring timely provision of containment products for patients and maintaining accurate records.

Key responsibilities

• Audit product use and cost, supporting the team administrator.
• Review and process orders for care homes and community patients.
• Manage telephone and email enquiries, updating the product supply database.
• Liaise with patients, carers, care‑home staff and other professionals.
• Attend staff meetings and complete mandatory clinical training.
• Ensure compliance with Data Protection, Freedom of Information, and patient confidentiality policies.
• Follow divisional and local procedures to maintain safe working practices.

Required profile

• Relevant administration or business support experience.
• Experience in health or social care is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom.
