Administrative Assistant – NHS Tayside (18‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

This 18‑month fixed‑term position supports the South Perthshire and Kinross locality within NHS Tayside. The role provides comprehensive administrative services, including front‑facing reception cover for community hospitals in Crieff and Auchterarder, and supports community staff, inpatient wards, team leads and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a full range of administrative support to the locality, handling correspondence, scheduling and record keeping.
• Provide reception coverage for South Locality Community Hospitals, greeting visitors and managing phone enquiries.
• Assist clinical and non‑clinical teams with ad‑hoc tasks, ensuring smooth day‑to‑day operations.
• Maintain compliance with mandatory induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland.
• Prioritise workload effectively to meet tight timescales and service targets.

Required profile

• Strong organisational abilities and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a wider team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibility and an approachable attitude.
• Eligibility to work within NHS Tayside and approval from line manager for secondment.
