Adult Social Worker – Community

About the role

Join a Merseyside council’s Community Team as an Adult Social Worker, delivering high‑quality social care for adults and older people in the Wirral area. You will work autonomously, making informed decisions in complex and risky situations while supporting the wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, reviews, and care‑planning for adult service users.
• Carry out duty and capacity assessments.
• Apply professional judgement in increasingly complex, uncertain, and challenging cases.
• Support the provision of adult social care in line with national and local policy guidelines.
• Evaluate the quality and impact of your own practice and that of the team.

Required profile

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Minimum three years of post‑qualifying social work experience.
